My story

Who wants to adopt a whacky wierdo? HAHA! Bella is a Husky/Herding breed mix who we placed as a puppy. She was returned due to the owner having an illness and could no longer care for her. She has since been placed twice and returned for nipping. Bella has been in her current foster home for about 8 months and has had zero nipping but she does have some minor issues. Bella is cage aggressive. She is a dog where everything as to be on her terms. We will only place her in a dog savvy home that knows how to work with a quirky canine. She seems to show her weirdness when in a new home. Bella is housebroken, vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. She does not like cats but is very playful with other dogs. Bella is crate trained and would do best with a fenced yard or an active family that will take her on walks. She might love hiking or lots of outdoor activities. No kids and no cats.

Donations can be available for immediate use if sent to Northeast PA Pet Fund and Rescue via PayPal nepapetfund@gmail.com

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All of our dogs are in foster homes where they are loved, evaluated, socialized, helped with any behavior issues, vetted and ready and waiting for their forever home.

The fist step in adopting one of our dogs is to fill out an application. Adoption fees vary but range from $200-500 which contributes to the cost of spay/neuter, microchipping, vaccinations, wellness exam, boarding, transportation and pull fees, monthly heartworm, flea/tick prevention, food, treats, toys as well as daily socialization and activities, along with some basic training. Occasionally a dog in our care requires additional and often expensive medical care and/or professional training. Donations are always welcome! Each dog normally costs us way more money than the adoption fees cover, but we are here to help dogs and that is what we do!

Vet references, personal references are checked and a home visit is done prior to adoption.

Go meet their pets

We have many adoption events throughout the month. We also do meet and greets for approved applicants.
