Hello American friends my name is Cherry and I traveled all the away from Turkey to shake your hand! I was found on the streets of Istanbul amongst garbage where my old owners dumped me. I was saved by a wonderful rescuer back in Turkey and was then brought here to start my new life.
I am such a sweet girl that you’ll never want to stop rubbing my belly, and if you do, I will paw at you to remind you to start up again. I love other dogs and have done great in my foster home with my golden retriever foster sister. While I like to play with the other doggy in my foster home my all-time favorite thing to do is cuddle. I want love from my people all the time, and with my cute face how can you not give in?
I love to go for walks and am currently walking a few miles a day in my foster home. While I get tired on walks sometimes and like to stop for breaks, I am still getting used to a life where I get consistent exercise. I will get better in this area as I build up my stamina over time, in my forever home. I pull a little bit on a leash, but I have been using a harness and I’m getting much better.
I am a well-behaved girl who just wants to be with her people. I have also been doing great with potty training in my foster home and have only had a couple of accidents early on. I would be great with older kids and would love a doggy playmate in my furever home. Since I am still a young dog who’s very eager to please and am treat motivated, I would benefit from going to training classes with my furever family. Could you be my new best friend?
