Here's what the humans have to say about me:
THi, I’m Kitty and I want to tell you some things I’ve learned about myself while I am in foster care.
1. I think having someone to love you is pretty amazing. I’m only 4 years old and my first family had to give me up pretty unexpectedly. Not sure what happened – all I know is it meant they couldn’t take care of me. Losing my home was scary for me, but my current foster family reminded me how lovable I am.
2. Dogs are interesting but I really prefer being the only cat. I can’t explain it but I just think other cats are a bit shady. Maybe I’m just a little insecure but since I have been with Lucky You I’ve seen enough other cats to know I just don’t like my own kind. My foster family has two dogs though. We may never be besties – but I think we could work out a living arrangement. “Peaceful coexistence” is my mantre with canines.
3. Whoever invented the laser pointer is a GENIUS. I could chase that dot 24/7. When my foster mom or dad takes too long to break it out – I can throw them a look and they know it’s LASER TIME!
4. I am a bit high maintenance and not a fan of change. Do you blame me after losing my family? I confess, I can get cranky in new situations. Just give me a little space and time and I’ll come around though. We’re going to have to talk about the vet thing though. I can’t guarantee I won’t show my displeasure when it’s time to go. My foster mom says this is all because I have “calico sass.”
5. I REALLY REALLY REALLY want a forever home. I love my room at my foster home but it has been over a year since I had a home to run around in that I can call my own. I don’t ask for much. Maybe a small cat tree, a laser pointer, and lots of love.
So what do you say? Give a sassy calico girl a chance? I promise I am worth it.
