Layla showed up as a stray and was very thin and malnourished. I took care of her health and had her spayed and by the time there was a foster home available for her, she had bonded with a dog I had at the time. I decided to keep her, but the dog she bonded with died of an autoimmune disorder that came up suddenly. After that, Layla was having extreme separation anxiety issues and I recontacted rescue groups about placing her. I was given a companion dog for her instead. She and the new dog, who I called Loki, did bond and Layla did not have anxiety issues if she was with Loki. Layla would be happier with a human companion that was home most of the time and I can't provide that, so I am trying to find a better home for her. She is a very smart, eager-to-please dog who wants to learn and follow rules. She is very loving and protective. She just needs someone to be with her more than I can or to be with Loki where she has more room to run around.
