My story

Alamo - an iconic name for an iconic dog!Alamo is one of a kind and is definitely a volunteer/staff favorite (though if you asked them they would totally deny that they show any favoritism). Even though he needs a specific type of family to adopt him, he knows that he can be the best boy of all the best boys.Alamo has spent most of his life here in the shelter and he feels like no one has taken the time to truly get to know him. He`s asked us to put together a list of things he feels his future family should know:-`No silly kids for me-I prefer adults.`-`I need a home without other dogs/cats-I prefer the attention all to myself!`-`A home with access to an enclosed area is a must for me!` A little bit spoiled isn`t he?-`Strap on your sneakers-I have a lot of energy and need an active adopter! Let`s run, run, run!`-`It will take me some time to settle into a new home, but just wait until I open up and you see my true colors!`-`I love chewing on things so much, sometimes I`ll chew on things I shouldn`t. Can you keep an eye on me and teach me what to chew and what not to?`-`I can be very barky/pull a lot/stop and stare when I see other dogs on leash. Can you help me learn to keep my cool and find a walking route where I won`t see many other pups?`-`Once I get to know you, just know that there will never be another dog who will love you as much as I do.`Even though Alamo displays a tough guy exterior, just know that there is a real cuddle bug inside that is desperately looking for his home.I`ve had a complicated past. Please ask staff members for more info!
