My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! I’m Greta and I’m currently searching for my forever home. I'm an adorable, cuddly, and healthy lady between one and two years old.

BIO
I was rescued from a parking lot in East Harlem in December. Since then, I’ve been settling into indoor life in my foster home nicely.

PERSONALITY
I love to be around people! I’ll follow my foster mom into the bathroom when she’s brushing her teeth and will sit by her feet while she’s cooking in the kitchen. I like to sit on the couch with my foster mom and curl up against her leg or jump on her lap for treats.

I’m very energetic but I’m also happy to curl up and nap during the day. I’m curious about anything that’s going on in the apartment and outside the window. I love spying on our neighbors! I also like to play with my cat dancer toy, and I love to bat around toy mice, balls, and foil toys.

I can still be a little skittish from my time outside so I'm not exactly a lap cat yet — but I'm getting there! I do like to have some lap time and with some patience I will be up for snuggles. I like to be petted for short periods at a time and am easy to pick up, although it's not my favorite thing.

MY PERFECT HOME
My perfect home is anywhere that I’ll receive a lot of love, attention and — most importantly — patience while I adjust. I currently live with a foster brother — a senior male cat — and we don’t fight although we aren’t best friends either. I would enjoy living with another friendly cat or on my own.
