Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Yogi, who is being fostered in Richmond, VA., is 6 years old. He came into rescue not feeling well, nor was he very trusting of humans. Socializing our furry friends is so important for their well-being. Yogi may have been an outside dog who received little or no attention from his humans. I wish he could tell us his story! In the two months Yogi has been with his foster family, he has begun to feel better, gain weight and is learning how to trust his humans. He wants to feel safe. Yogi loves soft beds and does want human attention. It must be new for Yogi, but he is beginning to reach out. Yogi is working on his potty training. He is an excellent walker on a leash. Yogi would do well in a home where someone is with him most of the time. It would help relieve anxiety and trust issues. He gets along well with his foster family’s dog and would love another dog to share his life with. Yogi would do better in a home without young children. They may overwhelm him. A fenced-in yard is important for Yogi so that he can learn his yard boundary and to be able to roam and play safely. This precious boy is ready to take on a new chapter in his life with a loving and patient family and be given the opportunity to relax with his favorite person.
