This poor girl. Where do we start?

She was left in the care of a friend when the 'owner' left the country for a week, which turned in to 4 weeks. Then 5 weeks. Now, it's been 6 Weeks. This poor dog has been abandoned. During her time with the sitter, she became ill. The 'owner' refused to authorize medical treatment. Soon, the illness became life threatening. Since the sitter didn't have the means to treat major illness, we sponsored her medical care xrays, labs, and 2 E.R. visits... Diagnosis, Pneumonia. Vodka was sent back to the sitter's home to recover with medicine. She recovered, and the 'owner' STILL didn't come back. So, she's been surrendered to us. Vodka is a delightful little purebred Frenchie. She's a senior, just looking for some love and warm place to live out her days.

I caught her playing with a toy this morning... picking it up and tossing it in the air.. fetching it, and tossing it again! What a sweetheart she is.
