Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Star is a sweet dog who loves attention. My daughter adopted her from the Rowlett Animal Shelter on October 22, 2019. At time Star had only been in the shelter for 2 weeks. Unfortunately, our daughter (20 yrs old) did not consult with us prior to the adoption. Our current dog is known to be defensive and protective his boundaries. We have tried to make it work for three months and there is still much tension - mostly on our current dog (Simba)'s part.
Star gets along well with visitors to our home. We have another puppy that my daughter also brought home. The puppy and Star get along very well. Simba is the hold-out.
Star is on a heartworm regimen being paid for by the Rowlett Animal Shelter. We use Premier Vet here in Rowlett.
The situation is a bit urgent as my wife is undergoing back surgery very shortly and we will not be able to keep the dogs separated 100% of the time.
The Rowlett Animal Shelter named her Syrup. We changed her name to Star.
