Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sterling came to my husband and I just over three years ago. They said him and an elderly dog Gizmo (that was very sick and passed after 6 weeks of having him) were found in a cage on the side of the road. We are in love with his spunk and energy. Long story short, I was told I would never have children, which was perfect because the shelter told us Sterling is not good with kids. We have since had 2 kids and tried everything to make things work between our fur baby and our very young kids, but we cannot make it work. We want him to have the life he was meant to have, as the king of the house.
Sterling would do best as an only dog, but would do ok with another LOW energy or relaxed dog. He should not have long term exposure to kids. He does mimic many of the Chihuahua qualities. He is a snuggler, but will bark at at passerby’s or other dogs.
It absolutely breaks our hearts to have to do this, but unfortunately it we have hit the final resort.
