Quint is brother to Nero and Nick. The 3 were rescued from the Austin City Pound on 11/5/15 as very young kittens. They were probably born in early Sept, 2015. Quint is a very friendly guy once he knows you--he is shy with new people. He loves to play and run with the others here at MCHS. We are looking for a patient, easy-going home for this boy. His adoption fee is $50 and he will be adopted as an INDOOR only cat. To meet Quint or any of our other cats, go to mchs.rescuegroups.org and complete and submit our simple online application. You must be 21 to adopt from MCHS. We will get in touch to set up a meeting time. Our address is 101 22 ST SE, Austin, MN. We are located off of I-90 via exit 180B to 218 SOUTH. For dogs, there is an application form that needs to be completed a few days ahead of time, before we are able to release an animal. We review applications to make sure there is a compatible fit between adoptive home and the characteristics of the animal. Adoption fees for dogs range from $95 to $150

Regular animal viewing hours are at the Shelter on Tuesdays from 4:30PM to 6PM, and Sundays from 2PM to 4PM. Other days/times can be arranaged by appointment.

The Mower County Humane Society is run entirely volunteers. The group strives to take in homeless and stray dogs and cats and place them into responsible, lifelong homes.
NOTE: The Shelter address does not register correctly on Google maps. Our Shelter is east of the Charter cable office in Austin MN. This is off of Hwy 218 south - our shelter is east of the highway just off the eastern tip of Oakland Avenue. The official address is 101 22nd Street SE
