My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Special needs: Scared, timid. Must have a fenced yard and another friendly dog for Ella to associate with. She relates to other dogs better than people. Ella Puppy is a sweet and sensitive little girl. She has the cutest face and with her tiny underbite, she looks like a white bear cub. She is about 6 years old and 17 lbs. Once you earn her trust, she will love to sit next to you on the couch and follow you from room to room like a fluffy white shadow. She loves being petted by her favorite people, and if you're lucky, she might thank you with kisses!

Ella spent the first part of her life in a puppy mill. While we don't know everything about her past, we do know that it has made her shy and cautious in new situations. Ella would love to have a family who is patient with her and can help her understand that the world is a safe and loving place. She has bloomed in her foster home with another dog, so we are requiring potential families to have at least one other dog who can be a role model for her. She walks well on a harness and leash, but she would also benefit from a secure fenced yard where she can sniff and run around.

Ella is fully house-trained and crate-trained, and prefers to stay in her crate when her family leaves the house. She does great in the car. She has been going on new adventures in her foster home, and she has been coming out of her shell a little more every day. She will blossom in a home where she can form a trusting bond with her new family, including a doggie sister or brother.
