Here's what the humans have to say about me:
No Phone Calls. Please fill out an adoption application and email it back to us to be approved.
My name is Ellie. I am a tri-colored cocker girl about a year old. I was found as a stray in a SC neighborhood. I was a scared, very dirty, skittish girl roaming this nice neighborhood for about a week or so until neighbors noticed that I wasn't leaving. A guy and his partner doing some work at different homes also saw me and after several days they told one of the neighbors that they would take me to their home to see if an owner could be found. I was not micro-chipped and neither of them could keep me, so they finally decided to ask for rescue help.
I am now current on vet needs and heartworm negative. I have just been spayed and I came in as an anemic dog due to whipworms and fleas so these issues have been treated. I am a sweet, skittish cocker girl scared of lots of things so I will definitely need an owner who will be patient with me, work with me, love me and help me to blossom. I am not housetrained and I do not know how to walk on a leash at all. These rescue folks think that I was kept as an outdoor dog who was clearly not well cared for or loved. I am starting to like attention, I am eating good and my tail will wag to let you know that I am a happy girl. This is progress for me, but you will definitely need a lot of patience to help me learn the things I do not know and I need house training with time to adjust and leash training. I will be a wonderful pet for you to adopt, love and with your help I can become your new best friend.
