Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Walnut is a 1.5 yr old, 20 lb, dachshund/JRT/chi mix. He has been such a delight in all aspects at his foster home. He is fantastic with all dogs. He has excellent manners, not overly friendly or pushy, & doesn't get offended if the other dog is defensive. He has lived with cats & good with dog-savvy cats.
He is a little shy with people but warms up quickly. Any new person should approach him slowly & softly. (For this reason, polite older kids recommended.) Once he knows you, he is super cuddly & all kisses. He bonds strongly & loves to spend time with you walking, running, fetching, playing of any kind, & snuggling up on the sofa. He’s been great in public & good company at café, camping, etc.
He is curious & inquisitive. He is great on leash & pays good attention to his handler. He listens well. We just started on basic training such as sit, & also crate-training. He is house-trained, healthy, update to date on shots, & neutered. His extra short coat is easy to care for. He is looking for his forever home.
