My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Holly is 10 years old and weighs 9 lbs. This sweet little Chorkie (chihuahua/yorkie mix) is being fostered in Spring Hill, , FL.

UPDATED BIO 01/25/2020: Little Holly was found roaming the streets three months ago, alone and very scared. She was picked up by animal control and taken to the shelter. After spending several days in the shelter waiting and hoping for someone to come get her, no one did, so she became a United Yorkie Rescue foster dog.

Fast Forward – Foster Mom says that Holly is a sweetheart. She loves to lick your face and hands to let you know that she loves you. She will follow her person around and is very gentle when taking a treat. She loves to go outside and enjoys sunbathing, and she also loves to explore when she is outdoors. She goes out in the cooler weather, but being a Florida girl, she prefers the warm weather lol!

Holly walks well on the leash. She enjoys riding in the car and prefers to be where she is be able to look out the window and see the world go by. She loves men and women equally – yup, this little lady is an equal-opportunity lover! She hasn’t shown any interest in toys so far, but that could change.

Holly can be a bit shy at first when she meets new people, but warms up quickly and will soon be lying next to you on the couch. She will roll around on your lap and loves belly rubs. Holly doesn't particularly like loud noises, like thunder or loud trucks, but those noises are also scary to some people. Holly has let her foster mom know that she would prefer to be the only dog in the home – this little Princess loves all the attention. We don’t know how she would be with kitty cats since there are none in her foster home.

Holly’s perfect home would be one with at least one stay-at-home or work-from home parent so that she could be taken on frequent walks, and have a fenced yard. The fenced yard would be a bonus, but not a deal breaker.

PLEASE NOTE: Holly does not like sharing her home with other dogs, but she loves all people, so she needs to be an only dog. She can only be adopted into a home with children 14+ years old.
