My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bella: 7 month old, black & tan, spayed female, natural ears & tail, 8" & 6.6 lbs. Shots up-to-date & Micro-chipped. Rescued from shelter

"Hello Humans, I'm Bella.
Well, just like all the rest of my doggie siblings, I was running the streets, lost, hungry, scared and lonely. I was 20 weeks old. Yep, that's right. 20 weeks old or 5 months. That's like a 3-year-old human trying to be OK out in the world with no family, no home and no one to keep them fed, warm or safe and absolutely no idea what to do. I didn't even know how to get food for myself. On top of that, I would have been barely 5 pounds if I were fat and sassy, which I wasn't. I was skinny, cold, afraid and hungry.
One day a huge, scary man with a long pole with a wire thing on the end and a big net caught me and took me to the shelter. They put me in a cage all alone. At least I was safe in there. Getting used to it though was a terrifying experience! Ginormous dogs all barking and trying to get out to see who the newbie (me, Bella) was. I thought they wanted to eat me!
Soon after I got caught a lady from IMPS came and took me home. That was pretty scary for me too. This foster home has lots of dogs. They are all bigger than me and I was terrified of humans. Not just a little bit, I mean really, really, really terrified. I shook and tried to hide behind or under anywhere I could. I never tried to bite my foster mom or my siblings. It didn't even occur to me that I could because I really am a sweet, loving girl under being so afraid. My foster mom said I shook and hid for longer than any other foster dog she's ever had, and she's had lots of them. That is how bad my life had been.
Well those days are behind me. I'm loving life now! I've got my confidence, and I'm the beautiful, sweet doggie girl I was meant to be. I've got a great personality and my best doggy friend is the huge, and I'm not exaggerating, Doberman Pinscher that lives at my foster home. She's the best doggie bed ever. She plays with me and is ever so gentle with me and when she lays down, she lets me sleep on her. I mean I am a princess and should not have to sleep on the ground or a dog bed, right? I use the doggy door to go out to do my business, play with my doggy friends, and take in a little sun and fresh air. I never have to worry about food to eat or a warm place to sleep, and my foster mom keeps a watchful eye when I'm outside so I can't get airlifted and eaten by hawks or other critters since I'm now up to a whopping 6 lbs 6 ounces. I probably won't get much bigger, so my forever family will need to watch out for me too to keep me safe.
Speaking of my forever family, I just got spayed and have all my shots so I'm ready for my forever home.
If you think you could love a little bit of a princess like me, please fill out an IMPS application so you can get approved and we can meet. I can't wait to start the rest of my life with you!
Patiently waiting with paws crossed, Bella."
