My story

Are you one of those rare people who can leave a Christmas present sit under the tree for weeks without shaking it or peeking inside? Do you respect those "Do Not Open Until December 25th" gift tags? If so, you might just be the kind of person Maggie needs! This girl needs a patient human who is okay "waiting for the present" - which in her case, the present is endless snuggles and kisses.

Maggie takes time to warm up to new people, but once she does, she is the sweetest pup. She needs a dedicated human who will use positive reinforcement training to continue teaching her "how to dog."  She is a 60lb, 5 year old pit mix who is muzzle trained and knows sit, down, touch, drop it, and go to your mat. She loves routine and will even put herself to bed at night.

Maggie’s Forever Family Wish List:
Family willing to continue training
Adult only home
Privacy fence (no invisible fence, no chanin link fence, at least 6ft tall)
Family who is home frequently with few visitors
Confident, laid back resident dog (or no other dogs if family is home more often than not)
Single family home (no apartments)
Dog handling experience

If this describes you & you're ready for a new best friend, apply for Maggie at RESCUEDohio.org.  Maggie's adoption fee is $350.

More about this rescue

RESCUEDohio was founded on August 1, 2015 by a group of dedicated animal lovers in the central Ohio area. The founders came from various different vocational backgrounds, but all have one thing in common: the passion to save dogs. Before starting RESCUEDohio, they were previously involved in different aspects of rescue, including fostering, fundraising, coordinating and training. The mission of this group is to help find homes for unwanted and abandoned dogs and to advocate for the rights of all animals everywhere.
