Faya, Felisa, Flora, Fiona and Fernanda were born in the neighborhood of cemetery where human rarely visit except for TNR actions by animal caring folks. Freema (their mom) gave the birth of 6 puppies after being abandoned over there. With the cold front and winter rain to the open space with no shelters, one of the siblings passed away while the rest were suffering from the cold upon the rescue team’s arrival. After the necessary actions including warmth protection, shower and blood examination, they are confirmed in good health except for slightly cold at that time.
After months of care. They are now confident furry babes, very sweet and healthy. Faya has a gentle personality. She's LOVE and SWEET with people, loves any toys you give her. Faya can play with dogs and cats. Due to her more gentle personality. If is exciting chase game, she will stays quietly watching first. When she thought the chase game was fun, she will join soon.
Many people think Faya is a mixed of Shiba and Shepherd. Whatever mix, we called her "FMD".
Formosa Mountain Dog (FMD) is a type of Taiwanese mixed breed. The rescues are usually abandoned, abused, and/or without a home. We take them in, provide them with a complete health check up, and spay and neuter as needed. Their information is then posted on our websites and social media, ready to be adopted.
