Mia is in East Tennessee in foster care and will be transported north upon adoption.

Mia is a 7 mo. old Australian Shepherd/ poodle mix, we were told. “Aussie-poo”. She is the victim of divorce and was somewhat neglected in her previous home. She weighs aprx. 35 lbs. and is chocolate and white in color. Mia is a high energy, goofy girl and must have an active family. A hiker is perfect. She would love a like-sized doggie playmate if possible That would be beneficial in her exercise regimen. An adopter familiar with the Aussie breed is a bonus. She is rambunctious and playful so if children are involved, over 12 yrs. is preferable. She has a strong herding instinct and sometimes nips at heels. Some type of basic training classes would really help this girl. She has so much love to give and her potential is endless. Pups cannot be left alone over 4 hrs. She is a country girl so a fenced yard is required.

Transport is via Alpha Dog and they charge $140 for their services. Stops are in CT, & VT. They hand off all vet records when you claim your pup. An adoption fee will also apply.
