My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Let me proudly introduce you to “Remington” (Remi), a gorgeous little dog with an undocked tail! Remington came to our rescue three weeks ago, he is a “Morkie” (1/2 Yorkie & 1/2 Maltese) that weighs 9 lbs. While under our care Remi has been neutered, current on all of his vaccinations and is microchipped. At best, Remington is 2 years of age, we think he is younger because he has so much puppy in him. His teeth are beautiful-all pearly white. He gets along very well with my Yorkie that is just 1 lbs. smaller than Remi. He is a submissive and gentle little guy.

Remington is a real “Super Star” in so many ways, so here are just some of his attributes and things you should know about Remington. He loves, loves to play with his toys and will fetch. Remi enjoys playing in the backyard. He is very content with all the love you can give him, he will sit or lay on your lap or beside you. He is a quick learner and wants to please his human. Remington learned his name quickly and he now knows how to sit for a treat. It is so cute when he stands on his hind legs like Meerkat to check things out. He is housebroken, however since I am home most of the time, I let him out frequently. I also take him for walks at least twice a day. I would highly recommend taking him for walks daily otherwise he gets bored in the afternoon and gets mischievous later in the afternoon. He must be let out often or he may have an accident. Remi walks beautiful on his leash. He is very curious about everything, for instance, toilet paper, looks into bags, boxes, cupboards etc. He has never damaged anything in our home. He will be a bit stubborn when it’s time for him to come back inside and he MUST be supervised while in the backyard, he is very curious on what is on the other side of the fence.

Remington is crate trained, but only when necessary for a very short time. He will bark if someone is at the door or when he sees other dogs – which is normal for any dog. You must be careful opening up your doors that lead to outside, he may dart out to see what is going on.

We are requiring a stay at home adult or a work from home adult and you MUST have a secure fenced yard. If you feel that Remington is the right dog for you, please fill out the Adoption Application on our site: www.RMYR.org
