My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rocky is sponsored by: Barbara McMahon

SNAP Cats rescued Rocky from Fresno, CA. Due to his severe CH, Rocky is currently not walking. We are working with him to try to get him on his feet. That said, Rocky gets to where he’s going by crawling and flopping, and he does make it to the litter box most of the time, so that’s a plus!. The minus is that he makes a big mess of litter outside the box trying to cover his business. Rocky eats on his own, whether it’s kibble or wet food, and is a real love. We’re all hoping that Rocky will start walking soon. Hey, years ago we had a cat named Boxes (yes, that was his name) who flopped around for 4 years, then one day decided to stand up and walk. So there is hope!

If you’re interested in Rocky please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks!

More about this rescue

Animal shelters around the world are full. The first cats to be killed are special needs, elderly and those deemed “unadoptable.” That’s unacceptable.

SNAP Cats is a unique rescue and sanctuary in Santa Rosa, CA (Sonoma County) dedicated to special needs cats. We rescue special needs cats from all around the world, house them, then find them warm, loving homes. We believe, if given time, that ALL cats can find the home that they deserve.

All of our SNAP Cats, regardless of health, age or temperament, are available for adoption or foster care. Those who are not adopted, due to age, illness or temperament, are able to live out the remainder of their natural lives here, in a peaceful, healthy, serene environment.
