My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Sunflower is one of our last remaining fire survivors still looking for a forever home. She has had a couple of foster homes since the fire but no one has shown any interest in adopting her yet and we can’t understand why. This is what her current foster mom has to say:

SUNFLOWER! This 2 year old 'Chiweenie' is full of love and energy. She loves to run in the yard, play with toys, walks on a leash and guard the property. Sunflower is wonderful with other dogs and has no problem stepping back for the Alpha. She uses the doggy door, likes the dog run, is crate trained, is anxious for her dog food at feeding time and is happy for belly rubs. She is very smart and easily trained to follow your lead. We do have a little problem with 'piddles' when excited but I think that will become less of an issue with stability. Sunflower loves all women and eventually warms up to most men but it will take patience for adjustment. I would think she needs a young single or couple because of her energy level and think she is too energetic for children. I don't know about cats but the way she is with other dogs leads me to believe that she would adjust. This baby has not had a great first 2 years and deserves a loving patient family to grow with.
