My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shorty is a sweet approx. 4-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix who spent his first year on the streets of Thailand and then two years in the Thai Government pound. He was pulled from the pound a few months ago, put in foster care and is now being sponsored by Firefighters Lifeline Foundation to find his new forever home. Shorty is UTD on all vaccines, neutered and chipped and is house trained on a schedule. Shorty is a very sweet but he needs time to warm up to you to know he can trust you. This took about 3 hours with me in my home but I am sure it varies from person to person. Once he trusts you, he is your new forever wonderfully loyal shadow who lives for your attention. A loud home environment would not be the best fit for Shorty as he is a little timid and scared and he is not a fan of constant loud noises, so a relatively calm environment where it's not too busy and scary is the best fit for him. Shorty will bark at stranger danger or if something/someone scares him but otherwise he is not a barker. Except squirrels but that is pretty normal. Shorty has good recall once a relationship foundation is established, especially if you have treats. I think over time he would be good with older kids that know how to be kind to animals but not with young kids. You will LOVE his funny crazy silly personality once he warms up to you, Shorty is really loving his new life now and gets more trusting and attached every hour he is here. If you’re interested in meeting sweet little Shorty, he is here waiting!
