Vancouver Folks (Could also look at other parts of BC)
Adoption fee $380 US approx $500 CAD
Monty is a 4 year old, 30 lb border collie cross currently in Vancouver, BC. Monty was rescued in Puerto Vallarta when he was not yet a year old, after he was left abandoned in a house when the owners moved out with only toilet water to survive on. Monty LOVES his people, is very affectionate, and walks great on leash (no pulling). Monty has some special dog friends, and enjoys social time, but doesn't like to be rushed by dogs, and prefers space when on leash. Having not had a great start in life, Monty is protective of his home as he knows this is a very valuable resource. He would love a quiet home where he can relax and not worry that this will get taken from him. He loves playing and lounging in the grass and would love a yard where his family would play fetch with him. While Monty has been non reactive to cats, he does really like squirrels, so we think its safer to have him in a home without cats. Monty is good at home when his people go out, where he takes the opportunity to nap. Monty is looking for a quiet home where his people can continue to use positive reinforcement training to support him. If you think Monty might be happy in your home, email spcapv@gmail.com for an application.
