Update: 31 October 2021
Moose is doing great. He hasn’t slept in the garage in over a year now. He has his own bed right beside mine in my bedroom.
He is completely kennel trained and even eats in his kennel. He is loved by everyone who meets him, children and adults alike. Whenever I bring in a new temporary foster, Moose is always the first one to greet them and make friends. I’ve heard the saying, “ambassador of their breed“… Well, Moose is absolutely the definition of that phrase. He is always going to be the “wiggly butt” of any situation he is in… He is also probably going to be the one that bumps into somebody and knocks them down— but only because he is so excited to see them…In short, he’s perfect!!

Moose is such a pleasant soul to be around! He has the innocence of an angel and the rowdiness of a bull in a china shop! He doesn't meet a stranger (human or animal) and he loves everyone he meets (human and animal!). Because of the damage to his left ear (he cannot hear out of his left ear) and left eye, he tends to list a little to his good (right) side and sometimes doesn't see objects in his left peripheral vision, but he has adjusted well and doesn't miss a beat. Moose can be hard to redirect when he gets excited because he truly can’t hear the commands or see some of the hand signals he may be given.
He has had no accidents in months and goes outside to potty during the day and to enjoy the sun. He currently spends most of his days outside playing with several other dogs (Shih tzus, Lab mixes, Hounds, Terriers, Chihuahuas, Poodle, and another Pit bull). He sleep in the garage at night on his own bed and/or blanket. He loves life and is a friend to everyone he meets.
BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately,
