My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Abbey! She was rescued out of the San Bernardino shelter where she was extremely scared, underweight and was at risk of being euthanized. Abbey is about 2 years of age and the shelter had her listed as a Whippet-Chi mix. We don’t really know what she is other than a beautiful girl.

As soon as she was removed from that environment, she became a different dog. She adapted almost immediately to life in a home. She seems to bond quickly to her person; maybe because she never had someone to love her. She loves nothing more than lying next to her foster mom and would lay there all day long if she could. She is learning to share her new mom with her canine foster brother and sister and that it’s ok to share. She is quiet (except when there is someone at the door) and very easy going. She likes walks but does not really mind just staying at home next to her “mom”. She will make a great companion for anyone who loves to cuddle. She would be fine with another dog and would do best in a home where someone is home for a good deal of the day. If you are looking for a cuddle buddy, she is the one for you!

If you are interested in meeting this beautiful girl, please complete an adoption interest application on our website; www.jointhescars.org.
