My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chase is a male who loves to run. He is an average size with a strong build and has a
very striking brown short haired coat. His traits are more like the hound than a terrier He is a lover boy and can't wait to play with you. He will need some training to be completely potty trained and not to jump up. For that reason small children are not recommended.He is not fond of little ones. They make him nervous. He will need a fence in yard for security. He calms down nicely once he gets his running out in the morning. Come meet Chase. He's got that look that will melt your heart.

Their adoption process

1.
Interview

Email information about the pet you are interested in, Your family and environment. A FENCED IN YARD is PREFERRED and a House Visit.

2.
Approve Application

After initial email we contact you for additional information No farther than 60 mile radius from shelter in Land o Lakes FL.

3.
Meet the Pet

The whole family including any other canines come to meet the pet and see how receptive the dog is to the family.

4.
Home Check

Video calls are acceptable as a walk around your house and yard. House visits are a must if you don't have a fenced in yard

5.
Take the Pet Home

Pet will be UTD on all shots and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. All medical treatment paperwork is provided. Contract to be signed.

Additional adoption info

We require a house visit in town with pet to see how they act in the home environment. We screen our applicants first to make sure they are at least 21 years of age, have a stable home and a fenced in yard or how they will exercise the dog.

The kennel has 2 acres that the dogs can run on. He has individual shed that are air conditioned with windows so they are not in caged environments.

I am the web coordinator for Carter's Canine Condo's and Rescue. I help the owner find homes for the rescued dogs he has on the property.
Buddy has been owner of the boarding facility since 2000. Began a rescue in 2008. He lives on the premises.
