My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I've had Cassius since 8 weeks old. He's 1 1/2 now. He came from a breeder in Caldwell, Texas. According to them his sires didn't have fanconi so he shouldn't have it either.

Cassius, just like all other basenjis, is very energetic and needs a lot of stimulation. He gets restless when his mind hasn't been exercised enough. Which is why we've decided it's best to find him a home that can give him the attention he deserves. We recently had a baby, and introducing that element into the home has proven difficult for Cassius to get used to. Before the baby it was Cassius and his terrier brother, the attention was all theirs. Since we can't put enough time into giving him the attention he needs, he's taken to acting out a bit, it's not his fault, the life circumstances changed.

We'd like to find him a loving home in which he can get that attention he desires. He gets along with other dogs, but he can be pushy with the play time, he is a basenji after all. Send any questions you may have.
