Percy is 3-4 year-old, male German Shepherd Dog. He would be a great dog for someone looking for their first German Shepherd. He's an "easy" dog who is "the total package": good with kids, good with other dogs, with good house manners!
He was adopted from us as a youngster, but he needs to find a new home through no fault of his own. He's been very loved. We want to make sure his next home loves him just as much, as he really deserves to be someone's special boy.
Percy loves kids. In fact, he's grown up with kids in the home, and currently lives with older kids. He's also been around a baby and interacted with it very gently.
He is used to activity in the home with kids around (and their friends visiting), and he is fine with being part of an active, social household. He's shy with newcomers at first but warms up quickly.
He's an energetic boy who loves to play fetch. He loves playing with other dogs.
He is already house-trained and crate-trained. He will let you know when he needs to go out by going to back door and sitting. He also goes to his crate on command. He's already been taught good house manners and is used to sleeping next to his person's bed.
He has a foundation in basic obedience training (and knows commands like "sit" and "stay"), but his leash manners needs some work.
This sweet boy loves to be in on all the action. Like most Shepherds, he is a "velcro dog" who follows his person everywhere. You won't be lonely with this sweet boy around!
