My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hippo is a little bit of mature man at 3-5 years old, but that just make him have the perfect amount of energy. When you say play he plays. When you say sleep, he snores. The vets think he is close to a purebred American Pitbull Terrier, but we cannot guarantee the breed of any of our dogs.
Hippo was facing death straight in the face, due to the overpopulation problem in Columbus. He had so many volunteers and veteran rescuers campaigning for him. But, no one would step up to help. We knew he was meant to be for us. His calm demeanor and puppy-dog eyes drew us in.
Hippo's foster describes him as, "Hippo is a sweet old man who just wants to hang out all day. Nothing bothers him, whether it’s his foster siblings sitting on him or getting his nails trimmed, he sleeps through it all. Hippo would be perfect for a family looking for a laid back companion. Specifically, a family he can show his love to and nap with! As long as he gets some cuddles he’s one happy dog!”
Hippo is both crate trained and potty trained! He absolutely loves other dogs! He has not been officially tested around kids, but volunteers at CACC say he has been great around kids. He was cat tested on March 8th and did fantastic. A quick sniff of their booties and went back to minding his own business. He is neutered, UTD on shots, dewormed, UTD on preventatives and microchipped. His adoption fee is $125. The application is here: https://forms.gle/Scpyw81TNDLhUQ5G7.
