Hello. My name is Shorty. How are you? I'm...shy. I'm feeling much better since being rescued, but it's taking me a little bit to trust all the staff at the kennel. They're really nice to me, but I'm scared! They say that I'm a very sweet boy though and I really, really look forward to being able to trust everyone. One day I'm going to show them how awesome I really am.

But, do you know what would be really nice? Meeting my furever family now! I'd love to warm up to my furever family. I hear good things about couches and beds and a space all my own. I'd love to give that a try!

Shorty was fostered for months and did well, but it did take his foster dad quite a while to earn his trust. Shorty has never shown any aggression with his shy personality, he chooses to hide instead. An adopter with a calm, slow demeanor will be best for this guy...and a doggie friend would do wonders for him. He truly comes alive when there is another dog present.
