Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Red is a stunning young, 1-year-old, 45-pound dog from Nunavut (she's small enough that you can pick her up). People always expect her to be bigger from her pictures.
She had a medical emergency and needed to be transported to Toronto from Nunavut for surgical intervention.
She received her surgery in early January 2020 and is healed up beautifully and now she needs a home to call her own.
Red is the sweetest, kindest dog and everyone that meets her, falls in love.
She is smaller in size than you'd expect and I'd make her a medium-sized dog on the smaller size.
Through all her pain and discomfort pre and post-op, she never once showed signs of aggression and had never stopped being gentle and loving with everyone she encountered along the way.
Red LOVES people. She wants to be with her people 24/7. She would do best with someone that can take her to work or works from home more often than not. She's fine on her own, she'll just not be happy to see you leave, and will sit by the door and cry a little.
We are looking for a home for her with a backyard or a country space, as we don't feel she'll do well in a condo or apartment setting, as she can cry when she's left alone.
She's also a good energy dog that needs to get out every day for exercise. She loves to run and play and spend her time with humans and dogs alike.
Red had to use a crate during her recovery, but she really isn't a fan. She'll utilize it best as a space to retreat too for naps or when she needs a break from family life.
Red is fully housetrained.
Red is a dream dog. She's kind and wonderful and gentle and everything amazing you could hope for with a dog.
She goes to daycare each day and does amazing with every dog she meets and steals the heart of every human she crosses paths with.
Take a chance on her. You won't be sorry.
