Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We are a foster based rescue and thus do not have a facility where all of our rescues are kept. Our foster based program allows for dogs a loving home environment similar to the one they will hopefully be adopted to. We have foster homes in multiple geographic areas.
Nate is a handsome 2 year old Great Pyrenees mix that is ready for a fabulous home. His owner had him since he was six weeks old but due to her moving back in with her mother, she can't keep him. He is a tall guy but only weighs about 60 pounds. Nate loves the dog park and his foster family takes him on many hikes. He has energy to hike all day or is happy to chill beside you on a rainy day. He is agile and athletic and seems to have the Pyr temperament. We love that his coat is scruffy which makes him even more unique. He is a friendly guy and would love to go for hikes or runs if his owner enjoyed these activities. He knows sit and shake as well. He is fine to lay around until you want him to go for a walk or when you are ready for an a run or hike he has the energy needed to accompany you effortlessly! Nate's foster family does take him to the dog park which he enjoys. He just loves running up and greeting everyone and following the dogs around. Nate has been great with all of the other dogs he has been around but remember that he does have the PYR temperament and they tend to lay down the law when needed. Nate likes to play with toys and flips them in the air over and over again. On walks if he finds soft grass he will roll and act like a goofball. He can catch a treat mid air too! Please research the Pyrenees breed as Nate seems true to the breed! We adore Nate but know that Pyrenees can be stubborn and obstinate! But if you are a PYR lover, you will love Nate!
