My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penelope came to us as a dump one morning that we found after a rainy day :( She was found by our sign with a small puddle of water at the bottom of a box with two other kittens. It took no time for us to see that she was pregnant but had a rotting tail. We had to wait for her to have her sweet kittens, which happened within days, before we could address her tail. All of her kittens have long been adopted and she still waits for her forever family. She does have a little stub of tail BUT it makes it that much better when you see that little butt wiggle with content. Penelope has been spayed and is looking for her forever home! The adoption fee includes age appropriate vaccinations and wormings, spay or neuter surgery, Frontline application, collar, ID tag and a cardboard pet taxi. Shelter hours are Tuesday to Friday from 11 am to 4 pm and the first and third Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm. Call 803-536-3918 for more information or email at:

More about this rescue

We are a small group of animal lovers dedicated to finding homes for as many animals as possible. We are a non profit group and work very hard to raise the money needed to care for these pets awaiting forever homes. We showcase them in the local newspaper every Sunday and have a weekly "spot" on a local radio station.
