My story

Rosey is a very beautiful but timid, two-year-old, 55-pound female brindle fawn pit bull terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian.

Rosey is great with other dogs, but extremely nervous with new people. She would do best with a very patient dog-lover who has a confident dog to show her the way. She would be best in an all-adult home.

An owner give-up from Palatine, Illinois, she doesn't appear to have had a happy puppyhood. She needs time to warm up to new people.

She has not been cat-tested.

Rosey is very food-motivated, so training will help to build her confidence.

Rosey is very healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm and fecal-tested negative.

To meet and possibly adopt Rosey, please contact Melia at for an adoption application.

Her adoption fee of $200 benefits the rescued dogs of Lucky Dog Rescue.

She is being fostered in Chicago.

Additional adoption info

The adoption fee for each of the dogs is $200.00. That is to cover the cost of getting the animal spayed/neutered, HW tested and completely UTD on vaccinations. A home visit will also be done prior to any adoption being completed.

All of these dogs are currently located in foster homes or paid boarding either in Chicago, IL or surrounding areas. An appointment can be made to view any of the animals at the convenience of the potential adopter and the foster.

More about this rescue

We are a very small group of independent dog rescuers. All of the dogs that are available for adoption were saved from needlessly being euthanized in high kill shelters. Once a dog is brought into our care, it receives all of the vetting that is necessary including a spay/neuter surgery, HW test, and vaccinations. A foster home is then provided for the dog until a forever adoptive home can be found. When a foster home is not available, the dogs will be placed in paid boarding until they are adopted.
