My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET Bentley Bowser. Bentley is a very sweet little yorkie who is 9 years old and weighs a healthy 14 lbs. He is being fostered in Spring Hill, FL. Bentley Bowser must be adopted within the state of Florida. Unfortunately we cannot make any exceptions.

UPDATED BIO 03/21/2020: Bentley Bowser has ben in his foster home for a week now, and boy-oh-boy does he have a lot to say. Bentley was previously in a home where the toddler in the home teased him and they chose to surrender him several months ago due to this. Sadly, his new elderly mom was unable to care for him and alerted her family that she needed help. The nice family member who took him into her home realized that Bentley was in dire need of vetting. He was covered in fleas, and it was discovered that he is highly sensitive to fleabites. A kind-hearted Samaritan stepped up to take Bentley to the vet and get his vaccinations updated and some much-needed medications for relief of his itching, and then reached out to United Yorkie Rescue.

Here's what Bentley had to say this morning he appears to have excellent communication skills lol!

Bentley Bowser her. This morning I slept until 10 oclock. I had a good night on my humans bed. I shared the bed with foster mom and dad and Bailey, the resident yorkie. Bailey and I get along just fine, After I got up and was walked, then foster mom gave me my dog food. I like canned food best, but I will also eat dry food.

I was taken outside to chase geckos while foster mom watered plants. Then the yard people came and I watched them, but never lost sight of the geckos. Its almost lunch time and I'm sitting on my chair by the window. Sometimes I nap, but I am very observant and see all thats going on outside. If foster mom and dad are eating, I will sit and stare at them. They tell me "No Bentley" and I back off, but I guess I need to stop mooching. I can't help it, I'm a dog! But they said Im not allowed to eat human food since its not good for dogs like me and can make me sick. And fat.

Putting on my harness means going outside or going for a car ride! I get so excited because I love both! I put my paws on the window and my face in the wind. I am buckled in, so I am safe. I am a good boy when I visit with people and am friendly to whomever I meet. Its been a busy morning - I had my bath this morning. I was a good boy and sat calmly for the whole time, but I was not thrilled with the drying, so foster mom let me air dry. Much better!

I was in a fenced-in yard yesterday and I had the chance to run and smell everything. Fenced yards are a good place for me. You can sit out there with me and sunbathe! So I hope my adoptive home will have a fenced-in yard, hint hint.

I like to lie on the couch sometimes to relax when I'm not playing with my squeaky toys. I really enjoy tug-of-war and chasing my toys when foster dad plays with me.

I eat dinner between 4-5pm and get sleepy around 8. Foster mom and Bailey and I get in bed about 10 pm or so. We sleep all night, and we are ready again in the morning for a new day.

Please adopt me into your family. I like kids and everyone I've met. I really want a forever home and my own family. I will be your perfect companion and love you unconditionally and always.

Love,
Bentley Bowser
