Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Updated Aug 20
We think Sasha may be 5-7 yrs. old. This beautiful girl looks like a Rotti/Shepherd cross. She loves humans, & is still learning to get along with other dogs. Quick to learn, Sasha listens to her alpha.
After months in a shelter, she's finding out that dogs playing together is normal. Living now with a smaller dominant female & an even smaller Terrier, she realizes that she sometimes has to share what she considers her balls & toys.
Did I just say toys? Sasha seems so young, since she loves to play all day with Kongs, balls or whatever other toy is around.
The Rotti definitely shows in her colouring, & when she lies down & crosses her front paws. The Shepherd shows in her half-folded ears. She is so adorable!
Some of the words/phrases that Sasha knows (& obeys!) include -
sit - before eating, & before crossing a st.
lie down - for quiet time, & when 4-leggers eat
watch me - whenever she's told something
right/left/about - while on-leash
stay - when the back door is open, but I'm going into the garden for something
pick it up/drop it - toys
Sasha also loves car rides, even when it's to the vet. She is so good at the vet. Her vet check up showed only mild arthritis in one leg and a tiny chip on one of her canines. All her bloodwork came back as normal
This beauty needs someone who will be her alpha. She knows to wait for me to go out any door 1st, or down stairs 1st. She's patient while waiting to get her food or treat 3rd, after my 2 dogs.
Sasha comes with her harness & bed. Her bed is even Rotti colours!
The Queen Fur Kid is patiently waiting for her new family. She is so thrilled to enjoy the comforts of a home, & is so willing to please. Even though she currently resides with other dogs, she does not like to share her space and she needs a home where she is your one and only
***********************************************************
Sasha is a very young 9 old girl. She is playful and loves her soccer balls. She knows some commands and looks to her human for direction. Like many of her breed though, she does need someone that will take the lead. If you don’t, she will. And that’s not a good thing for her. Left to her own devices, she can become quite pushy.
While she is still new to us there are a couple of things we do know. She can live with other dogs but she does pick her friends very carefully. So if you are looking for a dog to take to the dog park, Sasha isn’t the girl for you. We aren’t sure but we doubt that she likes cats. Because of her age, we would like her to go to an adult home only. In her previous life Sasha did live with a single woman that she bonded to very deeply. We hope there is another single woman out there looking for a companion.
Sasha needs an indoor home where she can be part of your life. She must have a high quality diet so that her health remains good. She needs moderate exercise and a soft warm place to call home. She is up to date on her shots, is spayed and housetrained.
WCRR will need a little time for her to settle and to see our vet but if you think you can offer her a home, please contact us at wcrr.info@gmail.com
