My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tango is a very happy, loving, intelligent dog that was rescued from a nearby shelter. Because she was kep very thin by her previous owners, she is very grateful at feeding time and likes to thank you after she eats by giving lots of kisses (not sloppy wet ones but, nice, relatively dry kisses). We found out the first night that she has a natural ability to balance on her hind legs. We knew we would teach her to dance and that's why we named her Tango. She was crate trained within hours and learned to walk very nicely on the leash by day two of her stay. She is a brilliant dog and, if she were cat friendly, I'd begin her training as a service dog for diabled persons (she's that smart). She likes, kids, men, women and other dogs. She is about 11 months old and seems to be out of the chewing stage already. We think she is mostly golden retriever with some Shepherd and a little bit of Chow. She likes to be chased and will run after her nylabone and fetch it. Because we have cats here, she is in a small crate about 20 hours each day. It's better than the shelter but it's not good enough for such a wonderful dog. If you want a dog that is truly ready for a home (friendly, easy to train, and not destructive) please call or email us ASAP.
