Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PEPPER is a buff black labradorable lady. Her hobbies include drinking out of the toilet, convincing foster mom she is *constantly* starving, bringing all the toys outside, & growing like a weed.

Pepper is housetrained & crate trained, but could use some work on her leash skills. Cats are a question mark, as she hasn't really met many in her short life... but a dog-savvy cats would probably be OK. People of all types are awesome... but very small humans tend to spook her, so school-age kids or older would be best

Pepper will do best in a home with a fenced yard & a dog buddy, but is willing to consider life as a SBD (single black dog) for the right family. An adopter that will commit to continued training (and perhaps even puppy classes with a trainer) would be very beneficial to help Pepper gain confidence & continue on the right path.

PEPPER is available for adoption through K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore.

An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link -- https://www.k9rescuees.org/info/adoption

Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt. The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit.

PLEASE NOTE ~ All of our rescue members are volunteers with many obligations. While we may not be capable of immediate response, we will respond to all inquiries and application submissions as soon as possible. Thank you for thinking adoption!
