My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Hi!  I’m Lettie and I was born 8/19/19. I was bought  to produce puppies, but it was quickly discovered my legs and hips are a little messed up. Being a responsible breeder, rescue was contacted in hopes of finding a great home for me. My former life I lived in a barn with minimum contact of my humans. My foster family thinks that’s why I cannot be far from my people and my doggie foster friends.

I have been in my foster home for 2 weeks and have learned a lot. Housetraining is coming along great, and I walk on a leash like a champ. Sometimes I’m picky about my food, but with some yummy toppings, I will eat it up. I sleep in bed all night with my foster family and do not move. I guess I snore a little, but my humans do too.
I love all dogs and am referred to as mega submissive. Kids, I absolutely love them and hope I get one of my very own in my forever home.

Now for the part I need help with - I do not like to be crated when my family is gone. I have broken and escaped from two crates. Foster Mom has me on camera and watches me from afar. She says I bark and get myself worked up. She says if I were better housetrained, I could probably be trusted to hang out with my foster siblings. So a forever home that can help with my crate anxiety would be expected. Foster Mom only leaves me crated for a couple of hours, so a family that can’t come home during the work day, probably would not work for me.

Now for the medical part - I will be getting X-rays to see if there is anything that can medically be done. I’m a happy, spunky girl and am not in pain. I do stairs and run and play like the wind!  So, check back for a medical update.

Foster Mom says if you don’t like to cuddle and snug, don’t pick me. I’m a  Velcro girl.

Love and kisses,
Lettie
