Currently in Medina, OH, Blossom is a spunky little lady! She was rescued from a shelter in San Jose, CA after being found as a stray. She is resilient, always happy, and loves giving hugs and kisses. Blossom is currently living with her awesome foster family in Ohio and enjoys the company of their children and male Dogo. She is an absolute sweetheart and LOVES attention from people. She just wants to feel loved and she makes that very clear with the level of affection she has for everyone she meets. She is about 4-5 years old.
She enjoys going for long walks or short jogs where she can be with her pack exploring the outdoors. Blossom is incredible at tracking sounds and smells and can be very focused on things she finds interesting. We first thought that Blossom had limited hearing, but we now think she was just so shut down from being in the shelter. Her amazing foster family has been implementing hand and vocal signals just in case. She knows basic commands, is responsive to training, and does very good on loose leash walking.
Although she's a California girl at heart, Blossom actually LOVES the snow and likes to run on the ice and slide! She's a playful one! She's very affectionate towards men and absolutely adores her foster dad and brother! . Blossom does exceptionally well meeting new people- she doesn't get overly excited, and she does not jump. She does have a very strong prey drive so she probably wouldn't be good with cats. We think she would be absolutely perfect with somebody with a male dog that can keep up with her energy level.
Blossom is recovering very well from a terrible sunburn on her face that she had from being a stray. She hasn't shown any food allergies food and she loves treats and bones. She's also a big cuddle bug!
