Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Our adult son recently died unexpectedly, and we are fostering his beloved dog Butter (so named because our son was a "foodie"). Until Butter is adopted, we're committed to keeping him with us so he doesn't have to spend time in a dog shelter.
We would love to adopt Butter, but our personal situation doesn't allow us to do that with assurance of the best outcome for him.
Butter is a sweet, loving, and affectionate dog whose goofy side brings many smiles to our faces. He's been a good source of entertainment during our shelter-at-home time. He's also very loyal and an excellent watch dog, though he's friendly to strangers once he gets used to them.
He's about six years old, in excellent health, and has plenty of energy. His hobbies include chasing a laser light, chasing squirrels in the back yard, and playing tug-of-war. And he LOVES attention and car rides. By the way, he'll want to be a lap dog unless given a firm "No."
He would love a fenced-in yard.
