My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bindi is a 6 month old terrier mix. She weighs around 35lbs and is expected to be around 45-55 full grown. She is a petite girl who loves to play with her Kong ball and with other dogs.

Bindi has a genetic anomaly in the growth of her back legs where the exterior bone is longer than the interior bone causing medial patellar luxation in both back legs. Medial Patella Luxation (MPL) is a condition where the patella (knee-cap) does not stay in its normal position in the groove on the end of the femur (thigh bone) and will pop-out, or luxate, to the medial (inside) surface of the knee.

Bindi will require 4 surgeries to correct her back legs and has an excellent prognosis for recovery once completed. She is not in any pain and lives life to the fullest each day. She is a lovebug!

Bindi is a typical puppy who likes to chew, play, dig and needs love, training, playtime and of course a lot of snuggles! She is kennel trained, working on potty training, is good with dogs her size or bigger (her BF is a 95lb Saint Bernard).

Bindi's wish is a Forever Home that is patient, loving and willing to work with her on her training and PT, with another dog to play with who likes to fetch but is willing to share the ball, a family with kids over the age of 10 and a home with a fenced yard where she can continue her daily therapy of playing in the yard.

Bindi's is UTD on her vaccinations, spayed, micro-chipped and had her cherry eye corrected. Her adoption fee is $450.
