Meet our new intake, Dinah. She is a stray who wandered into the yard of a local vet. No tag and no microchip. The vet estimated her age to be at 9 though she said it’s likely she could be much older than that. The assumption is that she was dumped in the neighborhood by the previous owner. That same vet has gone above and beyond to personally care for her. She is thankfully heartworm negative and has been spayed. She is being treated for worms and has a UTI, so she’s on a cycle of antibiotics. She is pretty emaciated so we will definitely put some weight on her. She’s already gained a couple of pounds since being in the vets care. We will have her for a couple of weeks before she heads up north, just like Happy and Hugo. Dinah will make her way to MN in a few weeks.
