Please meet Anita. She is a breeder release to rescue with her brother and sister(Jerry Lee and Lisa). Lisa is the most unsocialized of the 3 and will need to be placed into a home with great patience, love and understanding of her. She is still very leery of human interaction and in most instances will run away from the situation to avoid being touched. Once you are allowed to touch her she warms up very nicely. She is just over 5 years of age, UTD on all vaccinations, HW tested negative and on monthly preventative, and altered. If you would like more info on Anita please contact Helena at

Please remember Every animal for adoption through an Hounds Haven is fully vetted for their age and only needs routine preventive care. Dogs older then 6 months of age are heartworm tested! All dogs are kept on heartworm preventative. Every hound is vaccinated (age appropriate), and de-wormed, in addition to being spayed/neutered.



We are asking for interested parties to fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire prior to us lining up an appointment for them to see the hound(s) at the hound(s)' home.
