The more we get to know Bertie, the more we fall in love. Bertie is a young 6 month old bully mix breed ready to find his furever home. He is a relatively small guy only reaching 20lbs currently. Fully grown we expect Bertie to be medium size around 45lbs. Bertie is a special puppy as he was born with dropped carpi AKA especially cute and funny puppy feet. We aren't sure of his life before coming to Underhound other than he was found as a stray in Greensboro, North Carolina. We suspect Bertie had a very poor lack of care when just a few weeks old. But don't worry, Bertie was given a clean bill of health and is in no pain. He is just a very spunky and happy go lucky boy, exactly how a puppy should be. Bertie loves to play and gets excited when his people or friends are around. Bertie would do well in a home with another playful dog, he also doesn't mind sharing his space with cats and ferrets too. He loves stuff animals and will run and jump with them in his mouth before crawling into your lap to settled down. He almost fully potty training and has been doing very well sleeping through the night in his crate. Bertie does already know the command "sit" and walks fairly well on the leash for his age. He still has some things to learn but would love to have his furever family teach him all of their house rules. Bertie is a great furry companion just missing his furever family. Bertie is currently being fostered in North Carolina and will be traveling to Maine in late February. He will be neutered before transporting, but he is already up to date on vaccines and microchipped and receiving monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention.
