We adopted Ophelia as a barn cat from the shelter in Spring 2019. She was the last cat to be adopted at the event and they said that life as a barn cat was the best she could hope for.
After about a month, she started warming up to our toddler, following her around and seeking affection. She followed the kids inside one day and never left.
She is incredibly loving and affectionate once she gets to know someone. She's the least skittish cat we have around the children...they can be jumping on the couch next to her and she is unphased.
She does have personality a conflict with almost all other cats she has met, with the exception of the incredibly easy-going ginger in the photos.
Sadly, our daughter was diagnosed with a severe cat allergy and we need to find homes for all of our cats.
Ophelia would be wonderful as an indoor cat for a person or a family with no other pets. She is a sweet and vibrant girl with lots of love to give and will be a very special companion for someone.
