Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is the most heartbreaking thing to write. We absolutely love our dog Nyla. We consider her a part of our family and she has been with us a long time. Unfortunately, she has had some dog fights with our minature dachshund. We have chosen to use separation as a way to deal with it, as they very much love each other generally and love to play with each other. In about the past year, they have gotten into some fights that were pretty bad. More recently in one that sent our dachshund to the vet for emergency surgery. It has become clear that we can no longer keep her in our home and keep them both safe. She is a very smart, loyal and loving dog. She does spook easily-loud noises/sudden movements and is very protective. Along with all the traits you would expect a heeler to have. We do not have young children and are not sure how she would do around them. Please contact me with any questions. We want her to go to someone who understands the breed and can give her the time she needs.
