My story

October 13th will mark one year that Khalid has been in rescue without any interest. Let’s all try to see if we can change that before then.

Khalid is:
• 2-4 years old
• Approx. 50lbs
• Pittie mix
• Crate Trained
• Dog selective, good with older kids but NOT cats!

Khalid comes:
• Dewormed
• Vaccinated
• Neutered
• Microchipped

Khalid’s Story:
Khalid came to us from the streets of Homestead carrying a bag of garbage he had found. He was very emaciated to the point his skin was tight against his skull and rib cage, all you could see was skin and bones. It took some time to get him filled in and healthy. He’s dog selective and if another dog is around his food he becomes food aggressive which is not his fault since he had to probably fight other strays over food to survive. He’s a shy boy but he’ll warm up over time.
