Their adoption process

We are a foster based rescue group without a shelter or kennel facility, all of our dogs are housed in private homes of volunteers. Our Adoption Process begins with an application on our website: http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process

Our Adoption fee is $250 ($300 for puppies) All our animals have been thoroughly vetted nd are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, wormed, heartworm tested and microchipped.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
please read our adoption requirements (https://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) and then fill out an application on our website.
  2. Meet the Pet
Once your application has been approved you will be contacted to setup a meet and greet with your family and the foster dog and family
  3. Home Check
We will bring the dog for a home visit and complete the contract and start the trial adoption period

Go meet their pets

Come meet our pets at somewhat regular meetups - please see our schedule on our website: https://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events/
We love to set up meet and greets with individual dogs with approved adopters - if you are interested in one of our dogs, please read our adoption requirements (https://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) and then fill out an application on our website: (https://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process)

More about this rescue

There is no animal shelter in Kingwood.

Twyla's Friends is a foster home based adoption organization. We care for lost and abandoned dogs in foster homes until we're able to place them in a permanent home.

We are about responsible placement of these rescued animals and about responsible pet ownership!
Twyla's Friends is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been in existence for about 30 years.
